Horizontal ombré: This involves blending two different shades of lipstick horizontally on the lips. The darker shade is applied to the inner lip, while the lighter shade is applied to the outer lip.

We have crafted a step-by-step tutorial on how to create ombrè lips so that you can slay this beauty in a jiffy.

Prep the Lips (A primary step for any lip makeup)

Prep-the-Lips

Just like you prep your entire face before makeup for smooth canvas and a long-lasting stay, your lips also need a similar type of prepping. Your lipstick will perform to its potential by giving a strong color payoff if your lips are prepped well. That’s why exfoliate your lips with the help of a lip scrub, soft toothbrush, or any DIY technique. Don’t be harsh on the lips while scrubbing. Do it for 30 seconds to 1 minute only. After, scrubbing, apply a good layer of hydrating lip balm and let it sit for a while before proceeding further.

Tips: If you have hyperpigmented lips then apply a little amount of liquid concealer to even out the surface. Doing this will help you achieve a seamless finish for the lipstick

How to Create Vertical Ombré Lips

Step 1: Sculpt the Lips with Lip Liner

For any lip makeup to stand out, it is vital to outline the lips evenly so that it adds an alluring effect. To enhance the fullness of your lips, start by using a lip liner in a brown shade such as LL-05 Natural (Brown) from Edge It All Lip Liner. Start from the Cupid bow, create an M, and then drive the lip liner following the shape of your lips. Fill the lips with the same lip liner by leaving a space to add a nude color for ombré effect. Apply the liner along the border of your lips, making sure to keep the line at the center thin, while thickening it towards the outer edges. This technique can help create the illusion of fuller lips, especially if your natural lip shape requires it.

Step 2: Apply your Lip Shade

To create an ombré effect, take a shade lighter than the shade of lip liner. Here we are taking ML – 27, Soo Sery from Mattish Lipcolor  this matte lipstick has 24 stunning shades, you can pick a shade that suits your mood and skin tone! Also, it is enriched with Cocoa Butter, which will keep your lips soft and supple all day long.

Step 3: Blend, Blend, Blend

Blend

Once you’ve applied both colors, it’s time to blend. Use a clean lip brush or your finger to blend the colors together. Start from the center of your lips and blend outward towards the edges. Keep blending until the colors are seamlessly blended together.
