What is cut-crease eye makeup?

A beauty trend, famously known to give an authentic and defined shape to the eyes. The look is created using two shades wherein, the lighter shade is applied on the inner corner and the darker shade is applied on the outer corner creating a dramatic contrast of the eyelids.

So, how do you want to create your cut crease makeup? Learn it in quick steps with SÉRY.

Create Cut Crease Eye Makeup Step 1– Prep the Base

Prep the Base

This is the most important step, to keep the look you create in place and for it to give a great payoff, always prep the base. Now, take SÉRY Hi-Cover Super Coverage Concealer which is one shade lighter than your skin tone, and apply it on the eyelids, under the eyes, and the brow bone. Remember to set it with SÉRY Translucent Powder to keep the base intact.

Step– 2 Define the Crease

Define the Crease

For this, there is an interesting hack to achieve that dramatic edges, take a transparent sticky tape and stick it at an upward angle on the outer corner of the eyes. Pick the shade that closely matches your skin tone from SÉRY Aurora Eye Shadow Palette – Beyond Beauty. Apply it above the crease line of the eyelids, close to the brow bone. With the help of a fluffy eye shadow brush blend it well and add a brown shade on the crease of the eyelids with an angled brush for a better appearance of the shading. Blend them in such a way that there is no harsh separation of the shades and they merge well. To deepen the crease, take a black eye shadow and apply it just on the crease with a small brush. This gives a definition to the crease.

Step– 3 Cut your Crease

To conquer this step you need three important things: A stick foundation, a flat concealer brush, and an eyeliner brush.

Take SÉRY Fix ‘N’ Click Foundation Stick which is one shade lighter than your skin tone. Pick the flat concealer brush, load it with the foundation and apply a thick layer of it over your eyelids. Now, with the help of an eyeliner brush, create an illusion of a crease following the crease line you created with black eye shadow, and draw it outward with a slight winged angle.

Step – 4 Add the Eye Shadow Shade

Step – 4 Add the Eye Shadow Shade

Pick the light shade color for the inner corner of the eyes and apply it with a flat brush. For the center, take a shimmer-filled color, and apply it with the same brush, extend the color to the outer crease. Make sure to blend out the edges with the other eye shadows, for a seamless blend and flow of colors.

Step – 5 Apply a Liquid Eyeliner

To accentuate the eye makeup look, grab SÉRY Stay On Liquid Eyeliner and create a winged eyeliner on the upper lash line. Draw a thick line that goes in sync with the cut crease line you have drawn outward in step 3. Add a pop by swiping a stroke of SÉRY Black Pro Ultimate Kajal on the lower lash line.
